TL;DR: Sun Star reproduce el Audi Quattro A2 #4 de Rohrl y Geistdorfer en el Rally de Portugal 1984, diecast 1:18 con puertas y capó practicables. Es un ejemplar usado, con la caja mostrando señales de almacenaje. El Quattro introdujo la tracción total en el rally de máxima categoría y cambió las reglas del juego.
Walter Rohrl llegó a Audi ya siendo campeón del mundo, y el Quattro le dio una herramienta que ningún rival con tracción trasera podía igualar en tierra suelta.
Diecast de Sun Star con elementos practicables
El peso del zamak respalda puertas y capó practicables que dejan ver el motor cinco cilindros turbo, otra de las señas de identidad técnicas del Quattro frente a sus rivales de cuatro cilindros. Los pasos de rueda ensanchados y los faros adicionales sobre la parrilla, imprescindibles en el rally de los años ochenta, se reproducen con líneas de corte cuidadas pese a tratarse de una pieza con tantos elementos móviles. La decoración con los colores de Audi Sport y los dorsales de competición exige una impresión limpia sobre la carrocería, visible bien bajo luz directa. El ejemplar en venta es usado y su caja presenta señales de almacenaje; conviene revisar bisagras y cierres al recibirlo.
El Quattro y la revolución de la tracción total
El éxito del Quattro obligó a toda la competencia a adoptar la tracción a las cuatro ruedas, un cambio que definió el resto del Grupo B y que llega hasta el rally moderno. Junto a un MG Metro 6R4 o un Lancia Delta S4, este Quattro representa el origen de esa revolución técnica, y su presencia en cualquier vitrina de Grupo B resulta casi obligada para entender cómo cambió el deporte en apenas un par de temporadas.
